Dr. Geoffrey Bird is a Professor in the School of Communication and Culture at Royal Roads University, and the creator and project lead of the War Heritage Research Initiative. This initiative contributes to our understanding of remembrance and commemoration in the 21st century by exploring a range of perspectives on how war impacted the lives of people, communities and the nation. He will share with us a selection from his short documentaries that explore sites of memory in Canada that have a link to the world wars.
